Benefits for Students

Matric Upgrade & Re-Write – NCS

Introduction

  • Matric Upgrade & Re-Write tuition caters for students who completed matric between 2018 and 2020. Students who obtained poor results or those who failed matric qualify for this programme.

Programme Duration

This programme runs from March to November.

Assessments

  • Internal examinations are administered in June and September. The final examination is administered by the Basic Department of Education. Students should write the final examination in the school where they completed their matric in November.

Lessons

Online Lessons – Monday to Friday

  • Online tutorials will be held from Monday to Friday in the afternoons between 19h30 and 21h30.
  • Students will consult teachers anytime during the week wherein teachers will attend to student’s enquiries on subject content when they get time.
  • All students who register in the programme will enroll for the online lessons.
  • Students are required to have a tablet or a laptop computer to access our online sessions or interact with teachers online.
  • Students will report to the Branch coordinator should they have any technical issues or enquiries regarding the programme.

Contact Lessons – Saturdays

  • Physical contact formal lessons will be held on Saturdays between 8h00 and 16h00 wherein all students are expected to attend except the distance learning students who are unable to access the campus for classes.
  • Revision tutorials and assessments will be administered interchangeably on alternating Saturdays to ensure that students perform to their maximum.
  • Each student will attend on the campus that is nearest to their location of residence in order to reduce traveling costs.

eDistance Learning

  • Students who are employed or committed otherwise and are unable to attend contact classes will have to enroll for the eDistance Learning programme.
  • Assessments will be sent through online student portal and students will be expected to submit their completed assessments as instructed by their teachers.
  • Additional support will be provided to students in order to boost their performance in the examinations.
Matric Upgrade & Re-Write – Amended Senior Certificate (Adult Matric)

Introduction

  • Matric Upgrade & Re-Write tuition caters for students who completed matric before 2018. Students who obtained poor results or those who failed their matric qualify for this programme. This programme also caters for those who have Grade 9, 10 or 11 as their highest qualification as well as ABET qualification. Students must be over the age of 21.

Programme Duration
This programme runs from March to May.
Assessments

  • Internal examinations are administered in April. Final examination will be written in May/June. The final examination is administered by the Basic Department of Education. Students should write the final examination in the centre allocated by the Department of Basic Education during registration.

Matric Upgrade & Re-Write tuition caters for students who are currently doing full time matric in their schools.

This programme runs from March to November.

  • Internal examinations are administered in June and September. The final examination is administered by the Basic Department of Education. Students will write the final examination in their schools as full-time candidates in November.
